The ruble is losing ground by about 0.5% against major world currencies on Monday. On the interbank market, the following dynamics are observed: the ruble to Chinese yuan (CNY/RUB) exchange rate is trading at 10.90 rubles per yuan. The ruble to US dollar (USD/RUB) is at 78.70 rubles per US dollar, while the ruble to euro (EUR/RUB) is trading at 90.20 rubles per euro. Since June 13, 2024, the calculation of the US dollar (USD/RUB) and the euro (EUR/RUB) exchange rates is based on bank transactions, digital platform deals, and over-the-counter trading. The Chinese yuan (CNY/RUB) rate is formed solely based on transactions conducted on the Moscow Exchange. Sources of data for determining the exchange rates include: - operations on the foreign exchange market of the Moscow Exchange; - information provided by banks; - data from digital platforms of the over-the-counter market. If there are no current data in the specified sources, the rate remains at the level of the previous trading day. The review was presented by Yulia Grishchenko, a member of the listing expert council of the Moscow Exchange, PhD in Economics, head of the Department of Financial and Investment Management at the Faculty of "Higher School of Management" of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.
