The Cabinet of Ministers extended the possibility of granting leave to employees who adopted a child

The Russian government has extended the possibility of granting leave to employees who have adopted a child. The validity of the previously adopted resolution expired on September 1, 2025.

The updated leave requirement will be valid from September 1, 2025, to September 1, 2031.

We are talking about the provision by the employer of leave of 70 calendar days in the case of the adoption of a baby by an employee and 110 calendar days in the case of the adoption of two or more children.

At the end of this period, adoptive parents are entitled to parental leave for up to three years.

Also, the adoptive parents of a child are entitled to an allowance similar to the maternity allowance.
