In 2024, 3 million tourists visited the regions of the Russian North and the Arctic, which is 7% more than in 2023. Of these, more than 1.3 million people chose the Arctic territories. The leaders in popularity were the Vologda Region and Karelia (about 700,000 trips), as well as the Murmansk Region (about 500,000 trips).

Chukotka showed the largest increase in tourist traffic - by more than 2 times. The flow of tourists to the Murmansk Region has also increased significantly (by 18.6%), the Krasnoyarsk Territory (by 16.1%) and Yakutia (by 10.6%).

The foreign tourist flow has almost doubled to 75,000 trips, with 7.7% of all trips by foreign tourists taking place in the Murmansk Region.
