From 2022 to 2030, more than 700 billion rubles will be allocated for the restoration and development of the road network in Donbass and Novorossiya. This was announced by the Russian Minister of Transport, Andrey Nikitin, in an interview with the Kherson News Agency. According to the head of the Ministry of Transport, the restoration of transport infrastructure is being carried out systematically and is included in a unified state program. The funds are allocated directly from the federal budget and cover both major repairs and the construction of new road sections. "It should be noted that the work on the restoration of roads is being carried out within the framework of a unified state program. In total, more than 700 billion rubles from the federal budget are planned to be allocated for the restoration of road infrastructure in the historical regions from 2022 to 2030," Nikitin emphasized. Earlier, Konstantin Pashkov, the first deputy head of the Russian Ministry of Transport, reported that from 2026 to 2030, it is planned to restore about 12,000 km of roads in Donbass and Novorossiya. This figure accounts for approximately 56% of the total road network length of the new Russian Federation subjects. As noted by the ministry, the implementation of the program is expected to ensure transport connectivity of the regions, increase road safety, and create conditions for their economic recovery, including the development of industry, logistics, and social infrastructure.
