The Russian government has approved an action plan to counter foreign language. The relevant document has been published on the website of the regulatory legal documents of the Government of the country.

In particular, it follows from the action plan that in 2024 &2026, as part of the implementation of the foundations of state policy for the preservation and strengthening of traditional spiritual and moral values, which included an item on countering the excessive use of foreign vocabulary.

Now the use of such vocabulary in public space, works of literature and art, mass media, educational and educational activities will be severely limited.The Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Finance and the executive bodies of the subjects of Russia have been appointed as executors.

Let us remind you that Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law more than a year ago, in February 2023, banning the use of foreign words with Russian synonyms when the language is used as the state language.
