A Maltese-flagged tanker carrying Russian diesel fuel has departed from the Baltic port of Primorsk and is heading towards the United States, according to ship-tracking data cited by Russian state news agency RIA Novosti.

The vessel was loaded on October 22 and is carrying 326,800 barrels of petroleum products. It is scheduled to arrive at the U.S. shores on November 7.

Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin had reached a "diesel deal" for Russian diesel exports to the American market. The U.S. Treasury Department issued a relevant license, and the Russian government partially lifted its ban on diesel exports. Russian authorities have stated that the resumption of exports will not affect fuel availability in the domestic market.
