### Russian Stock Market Index MICEX Sees 0.5% Growth in Wednesday Trading Session
On Wednesday, the MICEX Index (the primary Russian stock market index) rose by 0.5% and is currently trading at 2,337 basis points.
The most liquid stocks show the following trading dynamics:
- Sberbank +0.4%
- Lukoil +0.3%
- Gazprom +0.5%
- Rosneft +0.7%
The MICEX Index is a price indicator of the Russian stock market, formed based on the market capitalization of freely traded shares (free-float) and includes highly liquid stocks of large and rapidly growing Russian companies.
The composite stock index of the Moscow Exchange is calculated based on prices weighted by market capitalization, taking into account free-float, and includes the most liquid stocks of Russian companies. The index composition and weight are reviewed quarterly.
