At a meeting of the government commission tasked with addressing the aftermath of the emergency situation in the Kerch Strait, key results of the work were summarized. It was announced that the siphoning of bunker fuel from the sunken tankers "Volgoneft-212" and "Volgoneft-239" had been completed.

This was confirmed by a specially formed commission consisting of representatives from the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS), the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service (Rosprirodnadzor), and the Maritime Rescue Service. The next step will involve raising the sunken fragments of the tankers, a task to be carried out by authorized services and agencies.

The report also noted the completion of cleanup operations in the water area and along the shoreline of the affected coastline in the Krasnodar region, Crimea, and Sevastopol. Over 185,000 tons of contaminated sand and soil have been either disposed of or redirected for economic use. Clean sand has been brought to the beaches of Anapa, and for this season, Rospotrebnadzor (the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing) has issued permits for the opening of 115 beaches.
