Investors continue to increase investments through Individual Investment Accounts (IIAs). In the second quarter of 2026, they deposited 73 billion rubles into IIAs, which is 13% more than in the first three months of the year and twice as much as in the same period in 2025.
The main investment instruments were Federal Loan Bonds (OFZ) and corporate bonds of Russian companies with high credit ratings. Due to increased interest in this segment, the share of bonds in the total portfolios of IIA holders increased from 45% to 48%. This is the highest indicator since observations began in 2016.
By the end of the second quarter, the total value of assets in individual investment accounts reached 993 billion rubles.
From April to June, investors opened another 163,000 IIAs. Thus, the total number of individual investment accounts in Russia increased to 6.6 million.
