### Russian Stock Market Dips as MICEX Index Falls 1.5% On Wednesday, the MICEX Index dropped by 1.5% during trading, settling at 2,045 basis points. Here’s how the most liquid stocks performed: - Lukoil: -1.1% - Gazprom: -1% - Sberbank: -1% - Rosneft: -0.8% The MICEX Index (also known as the Moscow Exchange Index) serves as a benchmark for the Russian stock market. It is calculated based on the market capitalization of freely traded shares (free-float) and includes highly liquid stocks of major and fast-growing Russian companies. The composite price index of the Moscow Exchange is computed using prices weighted by market capitalization, adjusted for free-float, of the most liquid Russian company stocks. The index composition and weighting are reviewed quarterly.
