Russian Corn Exports Surge 2.7 Times in 2026

In the first half of 2026, Russia exported over 2.6 million tons of corn to foreign markets, a 2.7-fold increase in physical volume compared to the same period last year, according to data from Agroexport cited by Interfax.

Revenue from corn exports reached nearly $580 million, up 2.4 times year-on-year. The main buyers of Russian corn were Iran, Turkey, China, South Korea (Republic of Korea), and Kazakhstan. Additionally, Russia resumed corn shipments to Albania (which had been halted since 2023) and Tajikistan (stopped since 2022).
