Ukrainian Ambassador to the U.S. Olha Stefanishyna Steps Down

Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Olga Stefanishyna has decided to leave her diplomatic post, according to Interfax-Ukraine, as reported by RT.

Stefanishyna submitted her resignation voluntarily, but the reasons behind her decision have not been officially disclosed.

Her departure comes amidst significant personnel changes initiated by President Vladimir Zelensky. On July 12, he announced plans to revamp the government, including replacing Prime Minister Yulia Svyridenko. Svyridenko later confirmed that she would be stepping down as head of the cabinet.

Earlier, Ukrainian MP Yaroslav Zhelyaznyak had suggested that after leaving the government, Svyridenko might be appointed as the new Ukrainian ambassador to the United States.
