Russian security services have thwarted large-scale aerial attacks planned by Ukrainian intelligence agencies targeting military airfields in the Amur and Chelyabinsk regions, according to a statement from the Russian security service.

Investigations revealed that Ukrainian intelligence agencies intended to attack the airfields using FPV drones equipped with explosive payloads. These drones were transported into the Bryansk region of Russia in containers via unmanned aerial vehicles and balloons. Subsequently, enemy agents transported the equipment further into Russia, where they prepared the FPV drones for combat use in rented garages.

As a result of counter-terrorism operations, accomplices and perpetrators of the terrorist acts were detained. A total of 24 FPV drones equipped with explosive payloads exceeding 1 kg each, as well as mobile drone control stations and communication devices with Ukrainian handlers, were seized.
