Gasoline sales on the St. Pyotrsburg Exchange have dropped to a record low. On July 8, the volume of fuel sold amounted to only 8,100 tons, according to data from the National Exchange Price Agency, as reported by Kommersant.

The drop in sales was attributed to a lack of supply, as nine Russian refineries (НПЗ), which provide gasoline for the exchange, are currently undergoing unplanned maintenance. Previously, to stabilize the domestic market, the government reduced the mandatory sales quota for oil companies from 15% to 10%. This measure will remain in effect until September 30.
