The Russian government has authorized certain oil refineries to produce automotive gasoline and diesel fuel meeting the "Euro-3" standard until the end of 2026. The decision was formalized by a cabinet resolution.

Under the new rules, gasoline of environmental class K5 can be supplied to the domestic market with sulfur content not exceeding 150 mg per kilogram, aromatic hydrocarbons volume fraction up to 42%, monomethylaniline content no more than 1%, and oxygenates (ethanol) no more than 5%. Additionally, diesel fuel of class K5 with sulfur mass fraction not exceeding 350 mg per kilogram is allowed to be produced.

These amendments apply to specific refineries and will remain in effect until the end of 2026.
