### Putin and Trump Discuss Ukraine, Diplomacy and Economic Cooperation
Moscow and Washington resumed high-level dialogue on July 4, as Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump engaged in a telephone conversation initiated by the American side, according to Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov. This move is seen as a significant signal of intent to maintain communication channels between the two countries.
During the conversation, the leaders discussed the situation surrounding Ukraine. Trump reaffirmed his commitment to supporting diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving the conflict. He also emphasized the importance of bringing the conflict to a swift conclusion in order to unlock the full potential for economic cooperation between the two major powers.
Both leaders agreed on the necessity of maintaining regular dialogue between Moscow and Washington, addressing both military-political and trade-economic issues. Ushakov noted that the leaders had agreed to stay in touch and plan another phone call in the near future.
Putin also reminded Trump of his invitation to visit Russia. Additionally, it was mentioned that Jared Kushner and David Witkoff are prepared to travel to Moscow.
