### Russian Air Defense Intercepts 71 Ukrainian Drones Overnight In the night of July 5, Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 71 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of airplane type, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense. The attack was repelled between 8:00 PM on July 4 and 7:00 AM on July 5. The drones were shot down over the territories of Belgorod, Bryansk, and Rostov regions, the Republic of Crimea (a region claimed by Ukraine but annexed by Russia in 2014), and the Black Sea waters.
