The Russian Ministry of Finance does not plan to establish a special fund for financing the protection of companies against drone attacks, according to TASS. Finance Minister Anton Siluanov stated that companies in the most vulnerable sectors have sufficient funds to independently purchase necessary security systems.

Speaking to journalists at the St. Pyotrsburg International Economic Forum, the minister noted that primarily oil and gas facilities and energy infrastructure are targeted by drone attacks. These companies, according to his assessment, maintain a stable financial position and are capable of independently investing in countermeasures.

Siluanov emphasized that current regulations allow companies to include security-related expenses in their cost structure, including the purchase of specialized systems and equipment to protect facilities from unmanned aerial vehicles.

The minister stated that the issue of creating a separate fund is not being discussed within the government, as businesses already have the necessary resources to fund such measures.

The issue of enhancing industrial infrastructure protection was previously raised at the highest level of government. Alexander Shokhin, head of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin had instructed the presidential administration and the government to work with business representatives to develop proposals for increasing enterprise security in the face of drone attack threats.
