### Russia Suspends Grain Export Tariffs for Fifth Week in a Row
Russia will maintain zero export tariffs on wheat, barley, and corn from May 20, the Ministry of Agriculture announced. This is the fifth consecutive week that the government has kept export tariffs at zero.
The suspension of export tariffs on these grains is set to expire on May 26. The tariff rates were calculated based on indicative prices: $230.7 per ton for wheat, $221.4 per ton for barley, and $221.4 per ton for corn.
Russia introduced its grain export tariff mechanism (known as the "grain damper" in Russian) in June 2021 to stabilize domestic prices and ensure food security.
