Putin to Visit China for Official Talks on May 19-20

Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay an official visit to China on May 19-20 at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, the Kremlin press service announced.

During the talks, the leaders of the two countries are expected to discuss key areas of Russian-Chinese cooperation, as well as current international and regional issues.

At the end of the meeting, a joint high-level statement and a number of bilateral documents aimed at further interaction between Moscow and Beijing are expected to be signed.

In addition, the heads of state will attend the opening ceremony of the Russia-China Education Years, which will take place in 2026-2027.

As part of the trip, the Russian leader will also hold a separate meeting with Chinese Premier Li Qiang. The main focus of the negotiations will be on trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
