Train Derails in Yakovlevsky District, Detonation Suspected - Gladkov

Vladislav Gladkov, the Governor of Belgorod Region, has reported an emergency incident in Yakovlevsky District.

According to him, the electric train "Razumnoe-Tomarovka" derailed:

 "Preliminary data suggests that the cause of the incident was the absence of about two meters of railway track, which could have been caused by the detonation of an explosive device"

As a result of the emergency braking, half of the carriage derailed - there were 15 people on board at the time. One passenger sustained a laceration on her leg and bruising of the soft tissues of her back. According to the regional leader, an ambulance crew is transporting her to Belgorod City Hospital No. 2.

All emergency services, including Russian Ministry of Defense sappers, are working at the scene. The circumstances of the incident and information about the injured are being clarified.
