### Retail Sales of Strong Alcohol in Russia Grow by 3.6% in Q1-Q2 2026 Retail sales of strong alcohol (above 9% ABV) in Russia totaled 38.3 million decaliters (dal) in the first four months of 2026, up 3.6% year-on-year, according to Rosalkogolregulirovanie (the Russian Federal Service for Alcohol Market Regulation). Sales of vodka increased by 2.3% to 23.4 million dal, while sales of liqueurs and liqueur-based products rose by 14.6% to 6.5 million dal. Sales of sparkling wines grew by 4.4% to 6.7 million dal. However, sales of cognac dropped by 1% to 4.1 million dal, and grape wines fell by 1.9% to 17.2 million dal. Sales of liqueur wines declined by 4.3% to 390,900 dal, and fruit-based alcoholic beverages decreased by 39.4% to 613,300 dal. Sales of low-alcohol beverages plummeted by 2.4 times to 273,300 dal.
