Russia has revised the schedule for its Unified State Exam (USE), with exams now set to start no earlier than June 1. The change will become a permanent rule for all future exam campaigns, announced Anzor Muzayev, head of the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science (Rosobrnadzor).

Muzayev stated that the decision was made in accordance with a previous directive from the President. The new schedule is being implemented for the first time this year and will become a mandatory standard for organizing the final state certification process in the future.

He emphasized that shifting the start date of exams will allow educational institutions, graduates, and their families to organize the preparation process more rationally and plan graduation events in advance without overlapping with the exam period.

The head of the agency noted that the new system is intended to make the end of the academic year more structured and comfortable for students, reducing the organizational burden on schools during the final certification period.

The announcement was made during a meeting of the Science, Education, and Culture Committee of the Federation Council.
