Electric trains have started operating between Russia and Belarus, with the first train departing on the Smolensk-Orsha route, according to Russian Railways (RZD).
These trains will run daily, with up to three trips per day depending on the day of the week and season. The journey from Smolensk to Vitebsk will take two hours, while the trip from Smolensk to Orsha will take one hour and 40 minutes.
