### Russian Air Defense Forces Intercept Massive Drone Attack In the night of February 22, Russian air defense forces thwarted a massive drone attack, according to the Ministry of Defense. A total of 86 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of aircraft type were intercepted and destroyed over Russian regions. The largest number of targets were shot down over Belgorod Oblast, where 29 drones were eliminated. In Saratov Oblast, 14 drones were destroyed. Eleven drones each were neutralized over Voronezh and Smolensk Oblasts. In Bryansk Oblast, nine drones were shot down, and seven in Kursk Oblast. Three more targets were hit over Kaluga Oblast. One drone each was destroyed over the Republic of Crimea and in the Moscow region. The military emphasized that all detected targets were promptly identified and eliminated by on-duty air defense systems. Emergency and operational services are working at the sites where drone debris fell.
