Moscow Exchange Index (MOEX) Opens with a Decline

On Tuesday, the MICEX Index is declining by 0.2% during the trading session. The Moscow Exchange Index is trading at 2695 basis points.

The most liquid stocks are showing the following trading dynamics:

- Sberbank +0.1%;

- Lukoil -0.6%;

- Gazprom -0.2%;

- Nornickel -1%.

The Moscow Exchange Index (MICEX) is a price indicator of the Russian stock market. It is formed based on the market capitalization of freely traded shares (free-float) and includes highly liquid securities of large and dynamically growing Russian companies.

The composite stock price index of the Moscow Exchange is calculated based on prices weighted by market capitalization, taking into account free-float, of the most liquid stocks of Russian companies.

It is worth noting that the composition of the index and the weight in the index are reviewed quarterly.
