"Orion" Disabled Lviv Aircraft Repair Plant Handling F-16s and MiG-29s

In the night of January 9, the Lviv State Aviation Repair Plant was disabled as a result of a strike carried out by the Armed Forces of Russia, according to the press center of the Russian Ministry of Defense. According to available information, the enterprise was engaged in repair and maintenance of aviation equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including F-16 and MiG-29 aircraft supplied by Western countries. Additionally, the plant was involved in the production of medium- and long-range strike drones that were used for attacks on civilian targets within Russia. The strike was carried out using the mobile ground-based missile complex "Oreshnik." As a result, the main production workshops of the enterprise, warehouses with finished products - drones, as well as the infrastructure of the factory airfield were hit. Simultaneously, as part of a massive strike using operational-tactical missile complexes "Iskander" and sea-based cruise missiles "Kalibr," two enterprises involved in the assembly of strike drones in Kyiv were also hit. Additionally, energy infrastructure facilities that ensured the functioning of the military-industrial complex of the Kyiv regime were targeted.
