Platinum hits new high on exchange since 2008

The price of platinum has exceeded $2,100 per troy ounce for the first time since June 18, 2008, according to trading data from the New York Mercantile Exchange. As of 07:25 Moscow time, the price of the January platinum futures contract rose by 4.06% to $2,100.6 per troy ounce. At the same time, the price of the February palladium futures contract increased by 5.85% to $1,891.5 per troy ounce, the first time since December 15, 2022.
