The Russian government will allocate approximately 400 million rubles for опережающее funding of the Novorossiysk Transport Hub facilities. The investments are aimed at eliminating infrastructure constraints approaching the ports and accelerating cargo flows in the southern part of the country.
The funds will be used for the construction of a new receiving and dispatching railway park "B" at the Novorossiysk station, continuation of the reconstruction of the section of the track on the Kirillovsky checkpoint-transition point to park "B", completion of the modernization of the traction substation "Gayduk" and the final reconstruction of the first main line by the fourth quarter of 2025.
As part of these works, about 50 kilometers of new railway tracks will be laid. This will increase the throughput capacity of the hub, eliminate bottlenecks, and consequently increase the speed and reliability of cargo delivery through the sea ports of southern Russia.
These measures are part of a large-scale program for the comprehensive development of the Novorossiysk Transport Hub, with almost 70 billion rubles allocated for implementation by 2030.
