The growth of household income continues to accelerate, reports TASS citing data from the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat). The average monthly wage of employees in organizations in September of the current year exceeded the 96,000 ruble mark for the first time, totaling 96,182 rubles. The annual growth rate of wages remains high. The indicator increased by 13.1% compared to September 2024. The dynamics reflects both the indexation in the budget sector and large companies, as well as the ongoing labor shortage in certain sectors of the real economy. Positive dynamics is also observed in another indicator - overdue wage arrears. According to Rosstat, as of November 1, 2025, there is no overdue wage arrears in 35 regions of the Russian Federation. In October, the situation improved in 12 regions, remained stable in 10, while in 23 regions the amount of arrears increased, and in 5 new arrears were formed. Rosstat emphasizes that the figure of 96,000 rubles is an average and nominal one. It takes into account the wages of all employees in organizations across the country - from employees of large corporations in Moscow to workers in the budget sector in small towns. The actual picture of income varies significantly depending on the region and industry. Moreover, for assessing the purchasing power of the population, the key indicator is real wages (nominal wages adjusted for inflation), which Rosstat publishes separately.
