On Thursday, gold (XAU/USD) is down by 0.1%, trading at around $4160 per troy ounce (31.1 g).

Platinum (XPT/USD) is up by 3% on Thursday, with its price standing at $1640 per ounce.

These platforms account for over 90% of the global precious metals turnover.

Gold remains one of the most liquid assets: daily trading volumes on organized trading platforms (futures) are estimated at $50 billion, while over-the-counter market turnover is even higher—around $60 billion per day.
