Bitcoin mining difficulty has decreased by 2.37%, reaching 152.27 T. This technical adjustment, the first in four months, followed a record increase in October when the indicator hit an all-time high of 155 T, according to RBC.

Mining difficulty is a parameter that is automatically recalculated every two weeks to maintain a stable emission of new bitcoins. The current decline is a direct consequence of the global hashrate drop - the total computing power of the network, which fell from 1.31 Zh/s to 1.09 Zh/s. This indicates that some miners have turned off less efficient equipment that could not withstand the previous record level of difficulty.

According to experts, the correction indicates not weakness, but a healthy stabilization of the market. Despite high pressure, the industry maintains stable profitability.

The key trend that market participants are paying attention to is strategic diversification. Major players are increasingly using their energy-intensive infrastructure not only for cryptocurrency mining but also for solving tasks in the field of artificial intelligence.

Experts believe that the industry is moving towards a computational economy, where mining becomes just one of the directions of a large-scale technological infrastructure. The market is maturing and moving away from mono-dependence.

This transition is economically justified: revenue from hosting GPU clusters for AI in the U.S. reaches $1.8-2 million per MW, exceeding the indicators of traditional mining ($1-1.6 million per MW).

Market leaders confirm the transformation of the industry. The CEO of the largest American miner MARA, Fred Thiel, stated this week that the traditional model of bitcoin mining will become unprofitable in the coming years without a rapid increase in the exchange rate. In his opinion, the future of the industry lies in diversification and its own energy generation.
