Gold Trades at the Level of $4,217 per Troy Ounce

Gold is trading around the level of $4217 per troy ounce.

On Thursday, gold (XAU/USD) is up by 0.5%, trading at around $4217 per troy ounce (31.1 g).

Platinum (XPT/USD) is also up by 0.1% on Thursday, with its price standing at $1615 per ounce.

Here are the key global centers for trading precious metals:

- London Over-the-Counter Market (LBMA),

- American Futures (COMEX, NYMEX),

- Shanghai Gold Exchange (SGE).

These platforms account for over 90% of the global turnover of precious metals.

Gold remains one of the most liquid assets: daily trading volumes on organized trading platforms (futures) are estimated at $50 billion, while over-the-counter market turnover is even higher – around $60 billion per day.
