Russian Government Allocates Additional 6 Billion Rubles to Support Agricultural Producers

More than 6 billion rubles of federal funds will be allocated to the mechanism of investment and short-term preferential lending to support agricultural producers. This decision was announced by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin today during a meeting of the Government of the Russian Federation.

«For our producers who are fulfilling such contracts, there is a mechanism of investment and short-term preferential lending. Earlier, 2 billion rubles were already allocated for this purpose. Taking into account current expenses, our agricultural producers need additional support. We will allocate more than 6 billion rubles for these purposes, which will allow financing hundreds of issued loans», said Mishustin.

He added that such support measures should increase the resilience of Russian agribusiness and allow the supply of consumers with high-quality domestic products.
