Expert groups from Russia and the United States are planning to meet on March 24 in Riyadh to work out the prospects for the possible implementation of an initiative related to the safety of navigation in the Black Sea. This was announced by Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.
He recalled that in July 2022, package agreements related to navigation in the Black Sea were concluded with the assistance of UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, but they have not been fully operational.Russia will be represented at the talks by Grigory Karasin, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, and Sergey Beseda, Adviser to the Director of the FSB. Their candidacies were approved by the President of the Russian Federation.
"These are really experienced negotiators who are well versed in international issues," Ushakov commented.
