Donald Trump asked Putin to "spare" the encircled forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

During a telephone conversation with Putin, US President Donald Trump asked for mercy for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, who were surrounded in the Kursk region. He wrote about this in a post on the Truth Social network.

"Yesterday we had very good and productive discussions with Putin, and there is a very good chance that this terrible, bloody war may finally end. But at this very moment, thousands of Ukrainian troops are completely surrounded by the Russian military and are in a very bad and vulnerable position. I strongly asked Putin to spare their lives. It would be a terrible massacre that has not been seen since the Second World War," the US president said.
