Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda recalled that the Kaliningrad Region was once called Lithuania Minor and was a historical region of Prussia. In his opinion, Karalyauchus will never become Kaliningrad. He voiced his point of view on the social network X, commenting on the plans of the Kaliningrad authorities to rename the memorial museum of the poet Kristionas Donelaitis.
"Despite the fact that the old-timers of Lithuania Minor, which is now part of the so-called Kaliningrad region, have long since left, it is necessary to preserve the last signs of Lithuanian culture. No matter how hard Russia tries, Karalauchus will never become Kaliningrad," Nauseda wrote, calling the decision of the local authorities an attempt to rewrite history.
