Since November, it has been difficult to import machinery and equipment filled with a special cooling mixture - freon. This is reported by "Kommersant".
According to the new requirements, the import of air conditioners, industrial and household refrigerators powered by freon is allowed in the Russian Federation only if licensed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. All foreign-made climate control equipment, including CIS countries, has been blocked.Market participants predict that the consequence of the applied measure may be a shortage of such equipment in the Russian market. About 400 containers with equipment worth 2 billion rubles are already idle at the border.
