Buckwheat became the cheapest product in Russia, and potatoes became the most expensive

Since the beginning of the year, buckwheat has fallen in price by 20% in Russia. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to data from the Unified Interdepartmental Information and Statistical System.
Buckwheat turned out to be the cheapest product in the country, prices for it decreased the fastest in 33 regions: Omsk region (-22%), Buryatia (-21%), Trans-Baikal Territory (-20%), Sevastopol and Tyva (-19%).
Chicken meat has also noticeably fallen in price: in the Penza region (-21%), Nizhny Novgorod region and Mari El (-18%), Samara and Rostov regions (-17%).
Squid significantly fell in price in the Tambov region (-25%), Crimea (-23%), Altai and Chuvashia (-20%), Ivanovo region (-19%).
At the same time, potatoes have received the most significant increase in price since the beginning of the year. Its prices increased in 54 regions: Lipetsk and Voronezh regions (2.5 times), Smolensk (2.4 times), Bryansk (2.3 times), Tula and Belgorod regions (2 times).Red caviar, butter and chocolate have also noticeably risen in price.
