Gazprombank customers located abroad may have difficulties paying with UnionPay bank cards. This warning was sent to card users by the financial organization.

The message says that difficulties in the operation of UnionPay payment system cards abroad may begin on November 21. Customers are advised to switch to cash when making purchases.

The day before, on November 21, the United States added Gazprombank to its sanctions list.

In the spring of 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on conducting trade settlements with unfriendly countries for gas in rubles. Gazprombank acted as the operator.
