Russia has maximized the import of wines from the European Union, despite high duties

On November 24, it became known that despite the increase in duties (from 12.5% to 25%), in September Russia imported 47.1 million euros from the European Union. Thus, wine imports increased by a third at once — this is the maximum value since April this year. The data is presented from the Eurostat report.

The supply of French wine increased the most. In September, it was imported for 1.6 million euros, and in August for 356 thousand euros. In addition, sales of German wine more than doubled to 2.7 million euros.
