Federal Security Service (FSB) officers have halted the illegal activities of Gennady Stepakho, deputy chairman of the seventh convocation of the Murmansk Regional Parliament, according to a statement from the regional FSB branch.

According to law enforcement, Stepakho was gathering and transmitting information about engineering facilities to the benefit of the Ukrainian side. The suspect has been detained and charged with treason, with a corresponding criminal case initiated.
