### Russian Air Defense Intercepts 1,015 Ukrainian UAVs Overnight Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 1,015 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of aircraft type overnight, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense. The drones were shot down between 8:00 PM on October 17 and 8:00 AM on October 18. They were detected and neutralized over 16 regions of Russia, including the Moscow region, as well as over the Black Sea. The areas where air defense forces were active included Belgorod, Bryansk, Vladimir, Kaluga, Kursk, Leningrad, Novgorod, Oryol, Pskov, Ryazan, Smolensk, Tver, and Tula regions, Krasnodar Territory, and the Republic of Crimea.
