### US Treasury Market Update US Treasury securities, issued by the US Department of the Treasury, are widely regarded as among the safest and most liquid instruments in the global financial market. On Friday, the yield on 10-year Treasury notes (US 10y) is trading near 5.1%. The yield on US government debt varies depending on the maturity: 1-2 year bills, 10-year and 30-year bonds. As of the end of 2026, the US federal debt stood at approximately $40 trillion. This debt is divided into two categories: internal (owed to government entities such as pension funds) and public (liabilities in the form of securities). The debt-to-GDP ratio is nearly 125%. It is worth noting that the US budget consistently runs a deficit, so the debt is likely to continue to grow. The Congressional Budget Office projects that by 2047, the US federal debt will exceed 200% of GDP.
