### Russian Air Defense Intercepts 610 Ukrainian Aircraft-Type Drones Overnight Russian air defense systems intercepted and neutralized 610 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones during the night, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense. The drones were shot down between 8:00 PM on October 16 and 8:00 AM on October 17. The interceptions took place over the territories of Leningrad, Novgorod, Tver, Bryansk, Belgorod, Kursk, Oryol, Kaluga, Voronezh, Rostov, Smolensk, and Tula regions, as well as the Moscow area. Additionally, air defense systems were active over the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug (an administrative division in Russia), Krasnodar Krai (a federal subject of Russia), the Republic of Crimea (a disputed territory claimed by both Russia and Ukraine), and the Black Sea waters.
