The United States has proposed to European countries to unfreeze and transfer a portion of Russian assets into a structure managed by Washington, according to sources cited by Financial Times.

This proposal was made by special envoys of U.S. President Steve Whitkoff and Jared Kushner during recent negotiations in Miami with representatives from Ukraine, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and NATO.

Transferring the assets under U.S. control was suggested as part of a comprehensive peace agreement. The U.S. representatives outlined several ideas on how the frozen Russian assets could be utilized after the end of the conflict.

According to the source, representatives from European countries did not support this proposal, stating that they oppose transferring control over the assets and returning any part of them to Moscow.
