Nearly 37,000 new IT companies registered in Russia in first half of 2023

Nearly 37,000 new IT companies have emerged in Russia in the first six months of 2026, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced in a video address to participants of the second Moscow Startup Summit.

According to the Prime Minister, approximately 37,000 new tech companies were established in the country during the first half of the year. Mishustin highlighted that Russian entrepreneurs are now presented with opportunities to launch and grow IT projects.

At the same time, infrastructure for tech businesses is expanding across regions. There are already over 200 tech parks and clusters of various specializations in Russia, providing startups with necessary working conditions. The authorities plan to open around 100 more such facilities in the next four years.

Mishustin also noted the international composition of the Moscow Startup Summit participants. Representatives from Russia, India, China, Brazil, and other countries are taking part in the event.

One of the key objectives for summit participants, according to Mishustin, is to find practical applications for new technologies and bring products to market that can contribute to the development of national economies.
