MICEX Index rises 1.1% in Tuesday trading session

MICEX rises by 1.1% on Tuesday trading session, hitting 2,280 basis points.

Here is the trading dynamics of the most liquid stocks:

- VTB +2%;

- Sberbank +0.9%;

- Rosneft +0.9%;

- Gazprom +1%.

The MICEX Index (Moscow Exchange Index) is a price indicator of the Russian stock market. It is calculated based on the market capitalization of free-float shares and includes highly liquid securities of large and fast-growing Russian companies.

The composite stock index of the Moscow Exchange is calculated based on prices weighted by market capitalization, taking into account free-float, of the most liquid Russian company stocks.

It is worth noting that the index composition and weight are reviewed quarterly.
