Russian Refineries Boost Fuel Output Amid Government Price Control Efforts

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak chaired a meeting focused on the current situation in the Russian fuel market. One of the key topics was the stability of oil product production and deliveries to regions.

Following the meeting, it was noted that several oil refineries have commissioned additional production facilities, which has increased the volume of oil products output.

Special attention was given to the northern delivery program (a system for supplying remote northern regions with essential goods, including fuel, during the ice-free season). The necessary fuel volumes are being delivered to the relevant regions on schedule.

In regions where there are still localized fuel supply disruptions, adjustments to deliveries are ongoing based on current demand.

Additionally, Novak instructed intensified monitoring of price formation in the small wholesale segment of the fuel market. This measure is aimed at additional oversight of prices amid ongoing high attention to ensuring the market is adequately supplied with oil products.
