Russia writes off 200 million rubles of budget debts for Krasnodar and Belgorod regions

The Russian government has written off two-thirds of budget debts for two more regions: Belgorod Oblast and Krasnodar Krai. The regions have had nearly 200 million rubles of their debts written off, according to a government press release.

The debt write-off was preceded by efforts in these regions to modernize public utilities (JSC "ZhKH"), replace elevators, relocate residents from dilapidated housing, update public transport, and actively invest in industry.

With the freed-up funds, Krasnodar and Belgorod regions will be able to implement various economic projects, support businesses, and improve urban environments.
